Baglung: A student of the district has made a motorcycle that can be used without gasoline. Ganesh Shrestha, a student at the Children’s Life Inlis Boarding School in the district headquarters, has made a battery-operated motorcycle.
The automobile he built by connecting various parts of the old motorcycle has been named ‘electric bike’. Shrestha is studying in Class-8, at Baglung Municipality-1 Court Road.
He has used a 6 volt motor, 3 lead acid batteries, a 6 volt battery, 2 ampere fuses, 2 psi controllers, 2 accelerators and the old frame of the bike. Shrestha, who has been watching YouTube for a long time and after long practice, built electric bikes that can be used without gasoline.
He said the construction of the electric bike, which started last July, is now complete. ‘I failed many times, but there was some kind of determination and belief in my mind,’ said Ganesh, ‘that I finally succeeded in trying, thinking and planning.’
The electric bike school built by Shrestha was also tested and exhibited by hundreds of parents and students on the campus. Earlier, Shrestha had succeeded in making electric accessories such as cliff switch valve, speaker inverter. Shrestha, who focuses on new inventions and research while he is free, says that he dreams of becoming an electric engineer in the future. He said that the individual Rs.60,000 is spent.
Principal of the school, Navraj Shrestha, assisted in the construction work along with some technical materials on behalf of the school. . “She is a moderate student in her schooling, but she is more interested in technology,” said Shrestha, adding, “Due to constant attachment, we have built a new type of gasoline motor in Nepal. We will take initiative and support to do this. ‘
